Abstract

Digital technologies have significantly changed approaches to scientific activity, opening up new opportunities for scientists to collect, analyze, and disseminate knowledge. Open platforms, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and modern communication technologies play the essential role in the transformation of the scientific process. The aim of the article is to analyze the influence of innovative models of scientific research on research activities in educational institutions of Ukraine in the context of digital change. Methods. To achieve the goal, a comprehensive approach was applied, which encompassed the review of scholarly literature on contemporary aspects of digital transformation in science and education, as well as the study of examples of the use of artificial intelligence tools and big data analytics in pedagogical research. Results. The study found that digital technologies significantly improve scientific processes, simplify access to educational and scientific resources, and contribute to deeper and faster data analysis. The integration of artificial intelligence into education enables the automation of student evaluations and facilitates the creation of customized learning experiences for students. Open access platforms also have a positive impact on advancement of research cooperation and information sharing. However, several challenges arise concerning the ethical implications of data utilization, safeguarding intellectual property, and fostering digital proficiency among all participants in the educational process. Conclusions. The digital transformation of scientific activity is an important stage on the way to integrating modern technologies into research processes, which contributes to a significant improvement in the efficiency of scientific developments. Modern digital solutions open up wide opportunities for changes in pedagogical scientific activity, however, their implementation requires a careful approach, especially in matters of ethics and data protection. There is an important need for educational programs that allow scientists and teachers to develop digital skills and adapt to new technologies. Further research should focus on studying the impact of digital technologies on the quality and effectiveness of scientific research, as well as on the development of international standards and recommendations for their use in scientific practice.
