The formation of the legal culture of cadets in higher military educational institutions is an important component of the professional training of future officers. A high level of legal culture ensures not only compliance with the rule of law in the military sphere but also contributes to the effective performance of service duties, strengthening discipline, and fostering a responsible attitude towards human rights and freedoms. In the context of modern challenges, such as hybrid threats, information wars, and the need for Ukraine's integration into the European legal space, there is an increasing demand to improve the mechanisms of legal education for cadets. This article aims to examine the mechanisms involved in shaping the legal culture of cadets in higher military educational institutions and to propose recommendations for its enhancement. To achieve this objective, the study explores the theoretical foundations of legal culture, analyzes modern approaches to its formation, and suggests practical strategies for improving cadets' legal awareness.
Methods. A range of scientific methods was employed to investigate the formation of cadets' legal culture in military higher education institutions, ensuring a comprehensive analysis of the issue. These methods include normative-legal analysis, comparative analysis, empirical research, pedagogical observation, a systemic approach, and modeling. Results. The study found that the legal culture of cadets in higher military educational institutions is shaped by various factors, with the educational process, military discipline, and practical training playing key roles. An analysis of the legal framework reveals that the current system of legal education for cadets is grounded in Ukrainian legislation, the statutes of the Armed Forces, and international legal documents. Conclusions. To effectively develop the legal culture of cadets in higher military educational institutions, it is essential to enhance the educational process, implement innovative teaching methods, and strengthen the practical aspects of legal education. This will support the preparation of highly skilled military professionals capable of functioning within the legal framework. The effectiveness of legal education can also be improved by enhancing the training of teaching staff and officer educators, promoting an interdisciplinary approach, and integrating legal studies with practical military duties. A low level of legal culture may result in legal violations, a decline in military discipline, and adverse social consequences.
