Abstract

This article examines the impact of Pilates and step aerobics on the physical condition and work capacity of students. It analyzes the results of studies that demonstrate the positive effects of these types of physical activity on various aspects of students' health, including physical strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and psycho-emotional state. The possibility of integrating Pilates and step aerobics into the educational process to improve students' physical condition and work capacity is considered.

In today's world, where the pace of life is constantly accelerating and the demands on students are increasing, supporting their physical and psycho-emotional health is becoming extremely important. The educational process in higher education institutions is often accompanied by significant mental stress, stress, and a sedentary lifestyle, which negatively affects the physical condition and work capacity of students. Given this, the search for effective methods of physical activity that would contribute to improving overall health and increasing work capacity is a relevant task.

Pilates and step aerobics are two types of physical activity that are gaining increasing popularity among young people. Pilates, with its emphasis on movement control, flexibility development, and core muscle strengthening, helps improve posture, coordination, and overall physical fitness. Step aerobics, in turn, is a dynamic type of physical activity that combines elements of aerobics and dance movements on a step platform. It effectively develops the cardiovascular system, improves coordination, and promotes calorie burning.

In the context of student life, where time and resources are often limited, Pilates and step aerobics have a number of advantages. They do not require complex equipment, can be carried out in small rooms, and can be adapted to different levels of physical fitness. In addition, these types of physical activity not only improve physical condition but also reduce stress levels, improve mood, and increase energy, which are important factors for successful learning.
