Abstract

The purpose of the article is to justify the integration of IT into the methodology of teaching drawing to future teachers of vocational education in the specialty A5.38 Vocational Education (Transport). In the current conditions of digital transformation of education, the problem of updating the content, forms, and methods of teaching vocational training disciplines is becoming particularly relevant. Traditional methods of teaching drawing, based mainly on a reproductive approach, do not always provide the proper level of motivation, activity, and cognitive interest of students. It has been established that the integration of IT into the methodology of teaching drawing contributes to the transition from passive knowledge acquisition to active learning, in which the student acts as the subject of cognition. The transformation of vocational education in the context of the digitalization of production requires a fundamental review of approaches to teaching graphic disciplines. The study examines three levels of IT integration into the teaching of drawing: visualization – the use of multimedia lectures and 3D demonstrations; instrumental – mastering CAD systems as the main working tool; methodological – changing the teaching sequence from spatial modeling to flat drawing. The integration of IT technologies into the methodology of teaching graphic disciplines transforms the concept of «the art of mastering hand tools» into «intellectual design technology». Methods of analysis of scientific sources, comparison, systematization, and generalization of practical experience were used. The main results of integrating IT into the methodology of teaching drawing are: increased visualisation of learning; the formation of skills suitable for production; the possibility of implementing complex interdisciplinary projects. The conclusions show that IT integration changes the conceptual approach (the traditional model of learning «from a flat drawing to an imaginary object» is giving way to the modern paradigm «from a three-dimensional digital prototype to automated documentation generation»); the efficiency of the educational process is increasing (the introduction of CAD systems) allows reducing the time spent on routine operations.
