Abstract

Abstract. Purpose. The purpose of the study was to determine the dynamics of the development of special motor qualities of female students and to develop a methodology for their assessment during shaping training sessions in order to improve the content of physical education in higher education institutions. Methods. The study used analysis, systematization and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, a pedagogical experiment, testing, and methods of mathematical statistics. To assess special motor qualities, a system of tests was applied: the Plank test (static strength endurance), Sit-ups for 1 minute (dynamic strength endurance), Sit-and-reach test (flexibility), and One-leg stance test (coordination). Statistical processing of the results was carried out using descriptive statistics, Student’s t-test, correlation and regression analysis. Results. The results of the pedagogical experiment demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in all studied indicators (Р < 0,001). The greatest increase was recorded in the Plank test, which improved by 56,5 s (79,6%). In the Sit-ups test, the result increased by 14,5 repetitions (46,6%); in the Sit-and-reach test by 11,08 cm (34,5%); and in the One-leg stance test by 9,33 s (55,7%). Correlation and regression analysis revealed stronger relationships between individual test results and the overall level of physical fitness after the experiment, indicating a comprehensive development of motor qualities under the influence of systematic shaping training. Conclusions. The use of shaping technologies in the physical education of female students is an effective means of developing strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination. The proposed system of test control allows an objective assessment of the level of special motor qualities and monitoring of their dynamics during the training process.
