This article examines Ukrainian ethnopedagogy as a factor in preventing deviant behavior. It explores the nature of deviant behavior and summarizes the main causes of its emergence. It also identifies opportunities for applying ethnopedagogical concepts in the prevention of behavioral deviations. The purpose of this article is to substantiate the role of the value potential of Ukrainian ethnopedagogy in the prevention of behavioral deviations in personality. Methods. This study employs a set of interrelated methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific sources, comparison, generalization, systematization of ethnopedagogical ideas, and interpretation of their educational impact on individuals with behavioral disorders, as well as elements of structural-functional analysis. The results of the study showed that deviant behavior in the context of contemporary transformations is influenced by the environment, family, and value crises. It has been demonstrated that Ukrainian ethnopedagogy possesses significant educational potential, the utilization of which contributes to the formation of socially acceptable behavior, the development of responsibility, self-regulation, and the stability of an individual's value orientations. The possibilities of applying ethnopedagogical methods in the prevention of behavioral deviations have been investigated, in particular through the integration of folk educational practices into the content of educational activities. The pedagogical conditions for the effective implementation of ethnopedagogical ideas in the educational process have been identified, including systematicity, cultural appropriateness, consideration of age-specific characteristics, and partnership-based interaction between school and family. The conclusions. Ethnopedagogy in Ukraine serves as an effective means of preventing deviant behavior and as an important resource for the harmonious development and socialization of the individual. The targeted integration of ethnopedagogical approaches into the educational process enhances the preventive effect of education and reinforces the value orientations of those being educated.Downloads
