Directions of increasing the efficiency of student practice in institutions of higher education

Formation of readiness for professional self-realization is the key to success and satisfaction from the profession. The study of the educational process as a whole and its individual components, the search for effective means, methods and forms will increase the effectiveness of this process. Student practice is a mandatory component of the educational and professional training program of a specialist and a widespread form of training integrated with work in Ukraine. A change in the conditions of study at higher education institutions requires an increase in the efficiency of student practice. The purpose of the proposed study was to investigate ways of increasing the effectiveness of student practice for the formation of readiness for professional self-realization of future specialists. Methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, analysis of literature were used. It was found that student practice has a positive effect on motivational, active, creative, communicative, personal, prognostic readiness of applicants for professional self-realization. The analysis of the results of the study revealed the main areas of improvement of student practice - supporting the personality of the future specialist during practice, organizing effective and meaningful student practices online, expanding the network of practice bases. For the first direction, it was proposed to increase the number of hours for the teacher-head of practice. For the second direction, the use of Balint groups was considered. For the third direction, it was recognized to turn to small firms, social movements to include the acquirers in practice. The results of the study will contribute to the discussion of ways to improve the organization and conduct of student practice, which will increase its effectiveness as a means of forming readiness for pre-professional self-realization of future specialists.
